Burrinja presents...

2009 BLUE DANDENONGS YOUNG FILMMAKERS FESTIVAL

WRAP UP...

We were blown away by the positive response to the festival screening at the Cameo on the 21st of February 2009. There was lovely weather, great atmosphere, markets, relaxed live music, lawns and deckchairs to lounge on, and a great line up of new talent screening in the evening to an overflowing audience.

We want to congratulate the 11 filmmakers who made the shortlist and saw their work up on the big screen at Cameo.
Also, a special congratulations goes out to the winners:

Julian Costanzo for Jumping Jack (Best Film)

Interchange Outer East for The Gemstone Crush (Best Local Film)

Eden Carrel for Should Time Really Matter (Best U18 Film).

Well done!

Saturday was a brilliant night, and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors and the amazing, hardworking individuals who helped put the event together. Thank you all - you know who you are!

Because the screening program booked out early and so many people missed out on seeing these great new films, we've decided to give everyone a last chance to see them on the BIG screen...
